Visit to the San Francisco Design Center

April 3, 2026 | Romila Jogdand

One of my favorite parts of any project is shaping the outdoor room, where the garden becomes a place to sit and stay. The furniture, the lighting, the way it all feels at the end of the day.

I went to the SF Design Center looking for a few ideas, and ended up staying longer than planned. Walked it with Natalia (a friend and incredibly talented landscape architect), noticing the small details, sitting in everything, figuring out what actually feels good. We ended the day at JouJou with coffee and oysters, a quiet reset before heading back, and a lot of ideas to take with me.

Absolutely stunning outdoor pendants… now I just need a project for it.

All about curves, soft and playful

Natalia testing out a very cool free-standing hammock

A playful take on color and pattern, bold and full of personality

Textured wicker

Chairs, chairs and more chairs!

Warm neutrals

Scale and light doing all the work here

Logged off. Sat down. Much better.

Post work coffee and oysters at Joujou, SF!
